Who doesn't want to receive LOVE for their birthday!?
I certainly received a heaping dose!
And let's be honest, as old as you get, as common-place as birthdays become, it still feels really good to be remembered by friends and family - by people you talk to every day, by people you haven't talked to in months!
And it feels good to have two tiny arms stretch around your neck and to hear a tiny voice say "It's yer birthday, mom!"
And it feels good to spend the afternoon of your birthday amid throngs of family members watching the first BYU football game of the fall season. (You should hear Lucy sing the fight song. Oh my word.)
And it feels good to exchange high-fives with your older brother as each dominating touchdown is scored - the older brother whose front lawn looks like this:
And it feels really good to leave your two-year-old in happy conversation with her cousins...
while your classy husband ...
escorts you to a classy theater ...
to view a FABULOUS rendition of your FAVORITE musical.
And...it feels great to present your first blog video, captured by the new camera your husband gave you for your birthday.
All in all, 26 feels pretty good!!

Sounds like you had a fantastic birthday! The video was great... loved hearing Lucy's little voice (and yours too which made me think that we ought to talk sometime...) And William has been singing the fight song all the time lately. Maybe he and Lucy could sing a duet!

"The Secret Garden" is your favorite musical?! It's MY favorite musical, too! For the last 15 years or so I've made it a point to see every production of it that I can. It's such a fabulous show with such beautiful music. You definitely have great taste! :)
