Raw carrots, however, are tough opponents for Lucy's little teeth. Sometimes her mouth wins out and she manages to consume the entire raw stick. Other times I find a toy ewok finishing off her carrots in the comfort of my underwear drawer.
Isn't motherhood full of fun surprises??
(Speaking of surprises, here's the one I recently started for my orange loving girl. You know, so that when we're showering baby brother with "new," she'll have something too. By the time the quilt's finished, I'm sure her favorite color will be purple. Such is life... =)

Alright, our little girls would totally be friends! Haley's favorite color is orange, too! (for now, at least) It's a shame they're too far away to know each other (though Haley knows who she is from the blog).
Gotta love that little orange jumpsuit! And Lucy chasing the ducks around. Remember how mad she got when Royce told her that his favorite color was orange? She really wanted the monopoly on that color. What a doll!

Joe has always gotten weird reactions from people for having orange as his favorite.

I love that quilt! Seeing that makes me want to be crafty, too! I love that Lucy loves orange. And good idea to give her something new, too. I remember my mom doing that for me when my sister was born, and I was close to Lucy's age at the time.

Orange is very becoming on her! She was so cute with the ducks too! Charlie is into orange food too. Carrots and sweet potatoes are his fav. Although that probably has more to do with the fact that they're kinda sweet then that they're orange! Hope that babe inside of you is doing well!!

I smile when I read "The Adventures of Lucy" I have experienced so many similar events and conversations with Tori. Tori also believes that she is the boss of the world. The other day I think Michael had enough of her bossing him because he pulled her hair...she cried. Oh well. Siblings are great for keeping us humble. In our house the color is pink.
Oh how we miss you guys. Been gone only a month and I'm thinking how are we going to survive a year away from our sweet family???? Maybe you guys can come visit China...I'm sure there are lots of ORANGE things there...right?! Hope to see you soon.
