Night-Night

Thank you all for your support and prayers!
It truly means the world to us.

Now, back to business as usual...

You already know about Lucy and her babies. You know that she likes to wrap them, and sing to them, and lay them to rest in little cradles (or sandwich baskets, whichever you happen to have a surplus of).

Well, yesterday afternoon I was busy in the kitchen when I heard Spencer around the corner:
"Na-na!" he was repeating over and over: Night-night!
Thinking he wanted his blanket, I walked to find him.

And I found this:

"Na-na!"

Night-night football and baseball!

(There were even kisses involved.)

I tell you what, these little ones are the tenderest mercy of all.

I LOVE it! Totally something James would do...
...and who needs dolls when you have balls?

Ah! Boys and girls are just wired differently, aren't they? So fun.
And, by the way, your family continues to be in our thoughts and prayers! Love you!

Oh, my heavens! That completely melts my heart. Little boys certainly can be just as sweet as little girls, can't they, but with their own special flair.

That is so sweet. I love that. It made me smile. Only a little boy would but his beloved balls to bed.

Everybody says that little boys will make weapons of anything but here is a little boy taking a classic "boy" toy and nurturing it. At the tender age of one, he's got true manhood figured out pretty well. :) Loved these pictures, Lori! And all of your posts. Best wishes and prayers to you and your family.

I didn't see a place to comment on Lucy's talk so I thought I'd put it here. WOW!!! Austin and I were both so impressed! I don't think most adults can deliver a talk so well, even in practice.
Austin thinks you should submit it to "Mormon Messages". That was so so great!

Ha! Ha! That is the most adorable thing!!! I'm sure those balls are as precious to him as Lucy's babies are to her! So cute!!!

I just have to comment on Lucy's video! That little girl is so amazing! I think her talk has been played over 20 times at our house. Jessica has many of the parts memorized because we watch it so much. Their favorite part is when she says, "CRAAAAZY!!" What a sweet smart girl! You are such great parents Wes and Lori!
