As Lucy's chalk drawings became more and more elaborate and detailed, she grew increasingly worried about her little brother's...contributions. So she tried to designate a cage for him:

Ah, these almost 5-year-old girls have such an innate sense of order, and their little brothers just get in the way. (Julian never stays in his "cages" either.)

oh how funny. we got our own set of window markers yesterday. I'm going to have to enforce the "cage" with those!
"On your word of honor?!" was a phrase I heard all my growing-up years.......... Now, I know where it came from. :)
