Sunday February 13th: Lucy and I made Valentines at the kitchen table while the boys had a little nap.
At least I thought they were sleeping. When I walked down the hall I found them snuggled up with a stolen starburst.
There was not much remorse.
(But how could I reprimand?)
We spent the rest of the afternoon outside.
In the sunshine.
Because how could we not??!
Monday the 14th was just as beautiful.
Lucy was off to Kindergarten with a sack full of candy and a heart full of excitement...
(Spencer snuggled up with a little love of his own)
...and when she got home...
...we had a good, good time.
Complete with...???
Chopsticks? Lucy guessed.
Pixy Stix, I explained.
Ooh!
When the valentines from her school friends had all been read and sorted, Lucy noticed her little brother's red mailbox sitting nearby. Empty.
So she donned her mail hat and worked to rectify the situation before Spencer woke up from his nap.
A perfect little recycled valentine:
The rest of the day included cupcakes,
Spilled sprinkles,
And a cozy little Family Night extravaganza.
Special thanks go to our friends the Poorts for the amazing "heart attack" they sent in the mail (including the darling mailboxes and cupcake paraphernalia)!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to some of our favorite valentines: Rachel really wanted to send a heart to Spencer, but we ran out of steam after we did daddy's...next year ;)
ps. listening to A and R praying for "W'es, Loori, Pencer, and Loosey" every night is my favorite thing ever.
Oh what fun it looks like you had! I just love those little ones of yours...
And I really enjoyed the "guilty" picture :)
What fun! Glad that you guys had such a great time with Valentine's Day! I love that Lucy re-gifted her Valentines for Spencer.
