"All On The Fourth of July"

I love that James Taylor song.  It's on the album that Wes gave me for Christmas four days after our wedding and that we listened to non-stop in our first basement, Springville apartment.

Oh, I have everything to say and no idea how to start.

Thank you is probably best.

Thank you, for the tremendous support you've shown with the opening of my little school, and for your kind, empathetic thoughts this past week.

I have been grateful to the point of tears on several occasions.  You are such wonderful, wonderful friends.  So wonderful that I feel like I can share significant little pieces of my heart here.  There are a few such pieces that I have procrastinated putting into words.  For about a year.  I promised myself I'd take this month to document them.  In memoriam, if you will.  And so I'm going to try. But that means a lot of writing (when there are a million other things to do).  And it means a lot of remembering (which evokes...every emotion you might imagine).  And so I'm not really sure the effort will bear much fruit.

But I promise at least the attempt.  Starting tomorrow, and lasting...as long as I do (aren't I good at non-committal?).
In the meantime, it should go down on the record that our Fourth was illuminated by lots of heavenly light.

(And that I love my three year old firecracker.)  Hope you all had a happy holiday!

Definitely was thinking about you guys all week. It was wonderful to see you yesterday, and it was so fun to see the set up for your little preschool!

What?!! You're starting a preschool? That is so awesome! If I could choose anyone in the world to teach my children, you would be one of my top picks. I am SO SAD you are in Payson! I live in Orem, so the 25 minute drive for only 2 hours of preschool would probably kill me, but, wow, how exciting! I checked out your website and your school looks so happy and wonderful. My youngest will start preschool in a couple years, so I will definitely consider putting her in yours. If only the drive wasn't so long...But how awesome for you! You will be the BEST preschool teacher ever!!! Good luck!

Me again, I just noticed you do up to age 8 for the summer which is wonderful because I have two other children, ages 5 and 6. And your summer session is short, so I might be able to handle the long drive for a few weeks next summer. I am getting really excited. And I am really happy for you, I didn't know this was a dream of yours. Yay!

I am grateful that you will share pieces of your heart with us. I wish I could help so that it were less painful, less emotional, but that's why we are on this earth isn't it? To feel all these emotions and to have the pain and the joy. I love you Lori. And I loved hearing "Wow!!" and "Whoa!" from your corner of the lawn on the fourth after every single explosion. :)

Beautiful place to rest and wait. Loved seeing those happy children and you. Time . . . sometime time will be no longer. . . I keep thinking about what we will see and know and celebrate then. Love you!
