With Costumes

We had about fifty costumed events this year.  Birthday parties, school parades, and everything in between.  You know how it is.  We ought to have donned our Wonderland attire for this year's trip to Pumpkinland!

But let's be honest, we wouldn't have dressed up at all if it weren't for that dollar off admission clause.  A hasty pirate patch (lovingly repurposed from Wes's cancer days) and butterfly wings (both practically daily attire anyway) were worth two saved dollars in my pocket.

I love this little series of photos...

Doesn't it speak volumes!? =)
And these next photos bespeak the fact that corn mazes are super serious business to my little buddy:

(Halloween, in general, is pretty serious business to that boy.)

Such fun.  Pumpkinland always is!

We were glad for the chance to chum with these fun friends!

And we loved the shadow box addition to the light house!

And. While it would have been fun for Lucy and Spencer to be Alice and the Rabbit at Pumpkinland, we did take a little Wonderland with us to the best Halloween party in town!  Tweedle Dee...

and Tweedle Dum...

...are never happier than in our hometeachers' backyard.  Halloween was certainly no exception.

(Ava lovingly examines her new eyeball)

(Tweedle Dee and Dum devour doughnuts with the best of them!)

(And that's only the beginning of delicious eats and games!)

(um, can we have a moment of silence for the milk jug skeleton, please? 'cause that's amazing.)

(Spencer and the owl.  Serious business, I told you)

(What a party!!!!!Thanks Friends!!!)

The last of our costuming...

...consisted of attire for a couple of birthday parties and of course, school parades.

I don't have pictures of Spencer as a knight at preschool.  He was cute.  But he and I were both having melt-downs that day and it's probably best to let those mental images fade.  But this morning I bribed him with Halloween candy to sing the songs he wouldn't sing with his classmates on parade day.

Did you catch the wink?
The wink is the best part.

Cute, cute song by Spencer. And I'm amazed at how many different costumes you were able to come up with for those two--Royce and I couldn't even come up with one for ourselves!
