Nauvoo: The Raspberries

Or maybe I should call this post The Puppy.

or The Cousins

Or, how about: The Haven That Is My Brother Roger's Eight (?) Acre Ohio Home ?

We spent a weekend at Roger and Andrea's before backtracking to Nauvoo.

You'll remember that my children had just lost their father.  Can you imagine how my heart felt watching scenes like this:

And this:

I'm crying just looking at the pictures and remembering.  Is it any wonder that Lucy asked me after the trip, "Mom, when we're done living in Payson, can we move to Ohio?"

Hmmmm.

One thing's for sure: that little town has a great bishop.

Rog was set apart the Sunday we were there and hearing his and Andrea's testimonies was a particular tender mercy for me.  Truly, there are no words to describe how much I love my family.

(or how much my children loved Ohio fireflies =)

So good to see all these pictures and hear your thoughts. I remember being so grateful that you decided to still go on the vacation--looks like it provided some respite and relief.

Oh how wonderful! And those pictures of Lucy and the cat remind me so much of when we were in Nauvoo! William and Lucy had such a great time with that farm cat :)
