Totally Random
So, I was eating lunch at the Cannon Center yesterday and a young man came to share the table with me. He was well dressed, blue shirt, tie... and as soon as he sat down he pulled out a document and proceeded to study. I was getting sick of trying to study while eating myself at this time so I struck up a conversation. He turned out to be quite a nice guy, been home from his mission for about 7 months, is hoping to get into the accounting program here at BYU, and is about to be engaged... But I finised eating and couldn't delay studying any longer so I gathered my things and stood up. As I stepped to leave I asked my new friend what his name was, "Truman" he responded. Surprised and pleased I stuck out my hand and said "well, Truman, I'm Wes Truman" thinking that that would be the pleasant end to our conversation but he looked disbelieving. Surely it's not too uncommon a name I thought, but he preceeded to shake my hand more vigorously and said "well, Wes Truman, I'm Truman Weston". We both thought about the uniqueness of this encounter for a second, excanged some final plesantries and went our seperate ways. And I have been chuckling about it ever since.

That is one of the most hilarious things I have ever heard! (and I live with funny). Thanks for the great laugh...when do you get your wife back?
What are the odds?? That is SOO funny! Thanks for the laugh to give me a boost in the middle of the day!
Ok, the blood of Israel is getting pretty thick! I'd imagine somewhere along the line the Truman first name (think Truman Wirth) was someone's last name, you may be more connected than you think, Wes to Truman Weston. Who knows? Great story. Hope you studies are going well. Love you!
Too funny Wes. You just gave me the laugh that I had been waiting for as I "study" the primary program preparing for Sunday. Hope you are surviving without the wife. Hopefully she gets back soon to keep you company!
That's really fantastic. What are the odds, really?
I LOVE IT! What are the odds? Good for you for saying Hi, you got a great story out of it!
Thanks for giving me a much needed laugh for today! I am smiling even as I am typing. You guys are the best! My Amy is so lucky to count you as friends. Me, too.
THat is so ironic! I love the Cannon Center! Bringing together people like Wes Truman and Truman Weston! What a great out-loud-laugh story!

You simply know how to turn an ordinary day into something super special mr TRUMAN. (Guess that is because you are simply super special all the way!!!) And, I'm glad this part of the BAGGAGE is part of your life too!
We are ALL missing you....dwp

keep reading it over and over!
So, Wes, this is super hilarious. I have to tell you that I had a dream the other night and I met this guy and his name was "Eric" and so I asked his last name and he said it was "Murdock". And, in my dream remember, I thought, "Oh, not as cool as Wes's story"
This gave me an out-loud chuckle.
Great post Wes! This is clearly one of your bests posts, along with all the other ones that you have done. Keep up the great work!
And I hope the GRE is still going well!
