2. Assemble with pipe cleaner rainbows and Easter grass.
And/or...5. Count down to the 17th with a little Irish advent, and listen to daily comments like: "Mom, could I sneak one of these?" or "Dad, do you think we should have a piece of gold?" or "Just one a day, Dad!" After unwrapping today's chocolate, Lucy surveyed the little brown morsel and said, "Oh, Mom. This is wonderful."
A chocolate a day goes a long way.
Lest you think this idea was my own, you can see the inspiration here. (But I'll be honest. I was too lazy to paint terracotta pots.)
And tomorrow, I think we'll do this.
I'm into rainbows this year.
(Quilt in progress. S l o w progress.)
But we'll also be traditionally green tomorrow. Maybe die some food. Eat green peppers cut across the middle because they look like shamrocks - that was a hit with Lucy last year.
What are your green-day traditions??

Oooh. I saw those pots 'o gold and thought they were adorable. William can't wait until "the day we wear green".
I just LOVED the St. Pats. Fun!
In Dad's talk Sunday, he shared some Lucyisms... and brought the house down :)
You Trumans know how to turn a day into a rainbow of loving joy.
I want to be like you. (Dad tells me to keep practicing.)
I love your traditions...we have none but hope to start some soon. Where do you find your websites that help inspire your ideas?
I love the pot of gold!!!
You have such a nice way of making life fun and magical. Thank you for the inspiration; we need a li'l more magic around here.
For St. Patty's day at our house, we'll be eating a green breakfast and maybe (after this post!) delivering some pots of gold to some "lucky" friends :)
Lori, your little ones are soo precious! It would be fun to see you guys sometime before we move! :)
Our favorite for the day would be Rainbow fruit cups with a whip cream cloud and gold (yellow gummybears) on top. :) Have a great day!
Ahh, such fun! Our St. Patrick's Day festivities need some perking up (all we've done is wear green--boring!). My cousin's house is visited by a leprechaun. The kids follow little green footprints throughout the house to find treats. Thanks for the pot of gold idea. And happy green-day, Lori!
Oh my you are the cutest! Those pots and quilt were absolutely adorable and beautiful! Lucy is only lucky little lady to have such a fun mommy!
We did one of our St. Patty's traditions last night--we had Lucky Charms by candle light. Funny, I know, but stay posted to my blog for the full story. :)
I love, love, love your rainbow quilt!
Love the pot, it's very cute! St. Patrick's Day is always on the back burner for us since Evelyn's birthday is that day... but I like to see all the cute things people do to celebrate it!
Lucy and her pot of gold are smiling up at me from my computer desk top this week!
