There's too much to say about mothers and motherhood to wait until the weekend. So how 'bout we start the party now?!
I'll kick things off with a Mother's Day tribute penned by my five year old self. It speaks VOLUMES.

So here's to all the mothers who find joy "
woching" their children, who "daydream" about their families, who spend their time "
clning." Here's to all the mothers who find nobility in the
perusal of picture books and the pushing of swings. Here's to the mothers who turn five-year-
olds into best friends.
BFF.

Too cute, Lori!
I especially loved that your mom's eyes are the color of your brother's pants! Also the fact that you were so confident that you were the highlight of your mom's life--I'm sure that's not far from the truth!
I love that! Too cute!
That is such a cute tribute to your mom! I love learning about you growing up. Your parents seem and are so fantastic. I can tell how much you guys love each other with your sweet posts. What a treasure. Your kids are so lucky to have you!
Way cute. When you are five you think your mom is the best and that everything they do is just for you, which is probably true. Now that I have a 5 year old all those things ring true.
Perhaps I should find something like that and have Madelyn do it to see what she writes.
Tears..... Big Tears.... You just left here....You were busy building a dress for Lucy....WHEN IN THE WORLD DID YOU HAVE TIME TO do this post.
You continue to amaze me year after wondrous year.
(And I also send love to those dear Mothers reading this post. The ball is truly in YOUR court now. I hold you in high esteme.)
Awesome!
This post makes me somehow want to laugh and cry all at once. Very nice illustrations, by the way...
