Fourth Annual

Lucy cried today when the last of her cousins pulled out of our parking lot. And tonight as we looked through all our pictures together, she said emphatically, "The cousins are too, too much fun!" Aren't they? On Monday night, for example, Mark and Maria distributed personalized bags to each child. Bags to collect coins (earned throughout each day for good behavior). Coins to trade in for treasures.
(Positive reinforcement = positively wonderful.)

And didn't Suzy design cool Truman tees this year? The week was full of all the traditional fun: Seven Peaks (and pink cheeks).Bowling, bowling, bowling.

And breakfast in the windy canyon.Where the guys took to the field...

...and the girls?
The little girls found plenty to do.

One thing that was unique to this year's reunion itinerary: A tour of the Oquirrh Mountain temple.

(Which was beautiful!)

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. Matt. 6: 19-20

Wes and I talked a few times about how much we loved the treasure theme Mark and Maria initiated for the week. Because to us, that's what family is: treasure. The kind that only appreciates over the ages (and throughout the eternities). We are so grateful for a rich heritage. For priceless relationships. For treasured memories.

Here's a great big...

...to all of our Truman family! We love you! Can't wait to do it all again!

I too love the treasure theme that they introduced for the week. That might be something worth while to try at our house, perhaps along with a pirate themed week.

Never realized how similar Wes and Mark look, no questions asked that they are brothers but then again all Truman's look alike, just like the Call's.

Can't wait to get together again and play, hopefully very soon!

Truman Treasure for sure... Loved reading about it.. So happy to see the Patriarch in good form.
I like the idea of the Trumans doing all these great things...(and then maybe the Packer Gang can copy them!!!!) We are not so dumb...eh?

Great Group of People we all love!

Our siblings really need to start procreating at a faster clip! Our kids have one cousin and I do feel a bit sad for them not to grow up with a whole bunch - mine will be the oldest of all and may be too old and grown up to play with their cousins by the time they finally start coming at a faster pace. :)
