Introducing

I've given you a piecemeal taste of our trip thus far.
Today: a little background and a few introductions.

Perhaps you remember that my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August. Our seven day cruise of the Mexican Riviera was connected with that event - a gift in honor of that occasion. A gift from my parents to their six children + spouses. (Seems a little backward, doesn't it?! It is very representative of their lives, I assure you.)

So, you see, friends, this was not just your average romantic get away - although it was indeed a romantic get away (sans children). It was a celebration of love itself. Love and marriage and commitment and family.

And as they will all be appearing in subsequent posts, I'd like you to meet my (beloved) family:

Three girls

Three boys

Including twins (see arrow)

One of those twins married a man who also has a twin brother

And two of my brothers (including the other twin) married sisters (but not twins)

The other brother married another Julie (making two total)

And that accounts for everyone except Wes and me (who you know) and the ship's karaoke king, Terry "Elvis" Miller (who is married to one of the two Julies)

Got it???
(Study up! There will be a quiz in the comments section!)

The "Affair to Remember" keeps getting better and better as it expands into the lives of these Six Temple-recommend-carrying Couples in their Gospel-Centered Homes.

What greater gift could we receive??? Absolutely NONE.

Thank you to the LOVES OF OUR LIVES!
