Let Us Anew

There were four babies born in our families the year Wes and I were married (within months and in some cases days of our marriage, actually).  A boy and a girl on my side and a boy and a girl on Wes's.  So it follows that our eighth anniversary would be surrounded by a few other significant occasions.

We were so sad to miss Truman's baptism in November.  But we were there for Maggie's right after Christmas.

And on New Year's Day, we went to Jayne and Parker's.

"For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost.

And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate." 2 Nephi 31: 17-18

"Yea, thus we see that the gate of heaven is open unto all, even to those who will believe on the name of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God." Helaman 3: 28

Not sure I've ever had such a meaningful New Year's Day.  Such a fitting celebration of renewal, resolution, change - made daily possible through our "patience of hope,"* in the Father's plan and Savior's grace.

Come let us anew.

Our journey pursue.*
Happy New Year!

I love baptisms. We had two in one day last October. It was a nice change to our usual Saturday activities.
