Subtlety

My girl has a prospective future in marketing, don't you think?
(Most recently, she's been trying to sell me on cats.)

( I can't.  I won't.  I can't.  I won't.  I repeat this to myself every morning.)

Happy Christmas shopping to one and all!

What a little sweetie! I love that you take pictures of these darling things your children do. I really have to get on that ball with that... However, I am very much on the ball with Christmas this year and I'm proud of myself. I was feeling this huge urge to get everything done early (like I'm 96% done), but I just thought it was to save myself from my haggard experience of last year with Shane being an intern and gone all the time. However, the Lord had a different reason... He called me to the Primary President. My ward is gigantic so it's overwhelming. Anyway, sorry to ramble. Your kids are so precious and I can't wait to see your Christmas pictures! :)

The cat is cute... And your Lucy sure does have a winning smile. Good luck with that one!

We had to turn the hawk loose. Terry so sad. You can only keep if they're young and he was over a year. We'll keep trying and then you can come visit instead of getting a cat....haha.... Lucy's got to get dog fever and then I'll back her :)

Um...I want to buy Lucy a cat. I don't even like cats and she broke me down in three pictures. Your strength is impressive :)

LOVE the toy store! very cute! And doesn't every child wish that their parents would follow that sign?

About three years ago when Tori was five and shortly after we returned to New York she kept asking us for a cat. We said "NO". Since she realized we were serious she decided to pray about getting a cat. Heavenly Father answers prays and THREE kittens were randomly dropped off at our house. She said "I knew Heavenly Father would give me a cat even though you said no." Morale of the story--There are times when it is better to give in one cat is so much easier than three.
Your children are darling. I love that you allow us to see glimpses into your lives. I wish I were more organized and better at recording our lives.

At least she doesn't want a real, live squirrel anymore. And I think she's got a good deal for you with that toy shop--buying and wrapping toys you already own from your six-year old has got to be a good way to go!
