Easter (The Rest)

Blogging has been an almost non-existent piece of my consciousness this spring.  Have you noticed?   I need to get these Easter Sunday photos on the record before sitting down for some serious my-baby-girl-is-turning-eight posts this weekend.

Before church...

(Gave Lucy the locket Santa brought me for Christmas when I was eight.  Loved watching her peek inside throughout church and the rest of the day.  She still wears and loves it.)

After church...

(Easter bunnies making their rounds...)

(...only to find that the real rabbit had decorated our back lawn with eggs!  Such a fun surprise!!  And still a great mystery to me!)

(Spencer eating his Easter asparagus like a farmer chawing on a long piece of grass)

Easter Evening...

(Spotting the baskets)

(Better than baskets was the little robin who sang us the longest, sweetest Easter song)

(Spencer and his traditional marshmallow chick.  You can be sure I'll even send them when he's a missionary (while I hold his yellow blanket and cry =)

(How nice of Heavenly Father to send a little rain the morning after Easter... so we could walk with our new 'brellas!)

(We did our egg dying the day after too.)

(Spencer enjoying the coordination of his blue egg with the blueberries and his blue shirt.)

(the rather impressive little clutch Lucy constructed with the duck tape in her Easter basket!)

8! I can't believe it! I so look forward to hearing about her baptism! (And that clutch is seriously cute and impressive.)

That locket is too precious. What a special memento of both her dad and her mom. And that crafty girl never ceases to amaze me.
