"The Empty Sea"

Life has been full of sweetness lately.  (Also snow, but that's not really news this winter!).

I led my last Relief Society class discussion on Sunday (sniff).
Will be studying The Doctrine and Covenants with the Valiant 11 class now.
How fun!
Have been pondering the word valiant this week.

Courageous
Worthy
Excellent

Wes's parents were just set apart as full time missionaries and will leave for CA in a matter of days to work in the mission office there.  Where they will be a blessing to everyone they meet.

We love them.

We will miss them.
They are valiant.

Last week I mentioned to Lucy and Spencer that we'd see Grandma and Grandpa "the day before they go to the MTC!"

Spencer nodded and then asked, "Where is the empty sea?"

I so hope to hear some of your wise primary lesson insights since I'm teaching that same class this year! Only my class if full of kids ranging from 8-11, which so far has been tricky.

"Empty sea!" I love when kids say stuff like that!

I feel so bad for those relief society sisters! They will miss you so so much! But what LUCKY 11 year olds! They have no idea what a treat they are in for!

How did I not know they were going on a mission? That is super exciting (and sad that they are a little further away). Best of luck Elder and Sister Truman! I echo Lori, that you will be a blessing to everyone you meet.

And do I spy a missing tooth from Miss Lucy? I don't think that was missing last time I saw you (then again, i have a bad memory).

In the years we have known the Trumans, we have come to know that they bless lives where ever they go. They are truly elect people who love the Lord, and their neighbors.
With people like Lu and Phil participating in sharing the Good News of the Gospel, I have great confidence in the 'Harvest'.
Lives at home are blessed when family members are in the missionfield! Even when they go to the 'empty sea'...we will all keep track of them. Happy sailing Elder and Sister Truman.

Did you know I seriously thought that when people said "MTC" they were saying "Empty Sea" until my family moved to Utah? And I remember putting a tooth under my pillow without telling my parents I had lost it once and being very disappointed when the tooth fairy never showed up...Love these little stories!

I am excited for the Trumans and hope they have a wonderful mission!
